Lake Winnebago at Fond du Lac is Wisconsin's largest inland lake, offering vast flat expanses ideal for snowkiting in winter. Its frozen surface provides a wide, open terrain with excellent wind exposure. The lake typically freezes from December to March depending on conditions. Always check ice thickness before riding (minimum 15 cm recommended). Watch for current zones where ice may be thinner. Risk of hypothermia and frostbite in extreme cold. Carry ice safety equipment. Weather conditions can change quickly with sudden blizzards.
