Presque Isle State Park is an 11 km sand peninsula that extends into Lake Erie, near the city of Erie in Pennsylvania. This state park offers excellent conditions for wind water sports thanks to its direct exposure to the prevailing west and northwest winds of Lake Erie. The fine sand beaches and shallow waters of the inner bay are suitable for beginners, while the open lake side offers more sustained conditions with chop for intermediate and advanced riders. In winter, snowkiting is possible when the lake partially freezes.
