Squam Lake is a lake located in New Hampshire's White Mountains, used for snowkiting in winter when the surface is frozen. This mountain-surrounded lake offers a spectacular natural setting. The flat frozen lake surface provides ideal terrain for snowkiting with good fetch in multiple directions.

Check ice thickness before each session — minimum 15 cm required. Thin ice zones possible, especially early and late season. Very cold temperatures with hypothermia and frostbite risk. Obstacles under snow (rocks, branches). Wind can be gusty due to mountain channeling effects.
Snowkite on frozen lake with flat surface. Snow quality varies with conditions — from powder to icy. Wind is channeled by surrounding mountains, which can create local accelerations. Very cold winter temperatures — warm equipment essential.
