Magpie Bay Point is another snowkite access point on Canyon Ferry Lake, very close to Kim's Marina. This reservoir area offers an open zone with good wind conditions channeled by the valley. Convenient spot with easy access.

Unstable ice near rocky outcrops at the point. Severe hypothermia from wind chill. Sudden blizzards. Gusty valley winds. Isolation on the frozen lake. Temperatures can drop below -30°C.
Frozen surface of the large reservoir. Conditions similar to the rest of Canyon Ferry — solid ice from December to March. Drifts and bare ice. Good open riding space.
