Unstable ice near inflows and the dam. Hypothermia — winter temperatures can drop below -30°C with wind chill. Sudden blizzards descending from mountains. Valley winds with unpredictable gusts. Isolation on the frozen surface.

Suggest an editLarge frozen surface from December to March. Generally solid ice on the main lake body. Drifts and bare ice alternate with wind patterns. Excellent riding space on this large reservoir.
