Overview

Accessible by cable car from Col du Pillon, the Glacier spot is easy to access. It's mainly a flat spot with a slight slope.
You ride below the "Glacier Walk" trail and if the wind is good, all the way down to the bottom of the Glacier. You need to occasionally look up as this is also the area used by planes to practice high-altitude takeoffs and landings.
Be careful though! You are on a Glacier! This means that in case of low snow coverage, there is a potential danger of crevasses. Don't hesitate to ask for information at the ski patrol cabin at the top of the Scex Rouge cable car.

The spot works with Bise wind.
However, in North-East conditions, the glacier is downwind and the air is turbulent.
The best conditions are with South-East winds, generally at the end of Bise wind periods.
