Passo del Tonale is an alpine pass situated at 1884 m altitude between Trentino and Lombardy. This snowkite spot offers vast snowy expanses and excellent windy conditions from December to April. The pass channels winds between the Adamello and Presanella massifs, creating consistent conditions for snowkiting. The summit plateaus offer clear and safe terrain.

Freeride (Ski touring access)
Altitude: 1905m
Large ski resort parking lots at the top of the pass. Easy access from Ponte di Legno (Lombardy) or Vermiglio (Trentino). Parking is free or paid depending on the season.
Winds at the pass are channeled by the east-west orientation of the valley. Northwest disturbances (Foehn) bring the best conditions. Wind can be very inconsistent and gusty depending on local topography.
High mountain conditions: avalanche risk off-piste, very low temperatures, sudden fog. Check the avalanche bulletin before each session. Do not venture alone away from marked areas.
