Rothenberg Süd is a snowkite spot located at 409 meters altitude in the Odenwald, on the south side of the municipality of Rothenberg in Hesse. This site offers open meadows for snowkiting during snowy winter months. Complementary to the Rothenberg Nord spot, the south side is particularly suited when the wind blows from southwest to northwest. The slightly lower altitude means somewhat less regular snow cover, but the open terrain offers good conditions when snow is present. The spot is part of the Odenwald snowkite network and is suited for intermediate riders. The prevailing wind comes from the west to northwest sector.
