Serre Chevalier is a snowkite spot in the famous Serre Chevalier ski resort (Hautes-Alpes), at 2255m altitude in the Briançon valley. This major Alpine ski area offers wide open snowfields and plateau terrain ideal for snowkite in winter. One of the highest-altitude snowkite spots in the French Alps.
Mountain snowkite — coordinate with the ski resort for access and permitted zones. Avoid ski piste intersections and respect other mountain users. Wind is often from the West-North-West down the valley. Check avalanche risk and weather carefully. Spectacular views of the Écrins massif.
