Laguna de Apoyo is a kitesurf spot located in a former volcanic crater, near Masaya in Nicaragua. This crater lake offers a spectacular setting with crystal-clear waters surrounded by tropical forest. Thermal winds and trade winds channeled by the crater create sometimes gusty conditions. The body of water is small but offers a unique setting for freshwater kitesurfing.
