Playa El Cuco is a kitesurfing spot in the San Miguel department, on El Salvador's Pacific coast. This popular beach offers wave and wind conditions suited for intermediate riders.
Thermal winds blow at 8-18 knots, picking up around 11am and lasting until 4pm. Best months are November to June. Offshore northeast wind during the dry season creates clean wave conditions for wave riding.
The spot is one of El Salvador's best known for surfing and kitesurfing. Water is warm year-round with black volcanic sand. The beach has a relaxed vibe with nearby restaurants and accommodations.
