El Tamarindo is a kitesurfing spot in the La Unión department, on El Salvador's eastern Pacific coast. The beach is very large at low tide, offering generous space for the sport, and remains spacious at high tide.

Thermal southwest winds blow at 8-18 knots, picking up around 11am and lasting until 4pm. Best months are November to June. The spot also benefits from northeast winds during the dry season.

The spot suits beginners in a natural and preserved environment. The beach is uncrowded. El Tamarindo is about 60 km southeast of San Miguel.
