Costa del Sol is one of El Salvador's most popular kitesurfing spots, located in the La Paz department on the Pacific coast. The beach is long and wide, offering ample space for launching and landing kites.

Offshore northeast wind blows during the dry season (November to April), with thermal winds of 8-18 knots picking up late morning (around 11am) until late afternoon (4pm). Best conditions are from November to June.

The spot suits beginners thanks to the spacious beach and the lagoon behind. The ocean offers waves for more experienced riders. Water is warm year-round with black volcanic sand.
