Bahia Salinas - Ecoplaya is one of the most famous kitesurfing spots in Costa Rica, located in the far north-west of the Guanacaste province. This bay benefits from the powerful Papagayo winds, among the strongest in Central America. From December to April, the north-easterly winds blow regularly between 20 and 35 knots, creating exceptional conditions. The bay's water ranges from flat to light chop depending on the wind.
