The Ambergris Caye Sandbar (MJ's Sandbar) is a unique kitesurfing spot in Belize, located between Ambergris Caye and the mainland. This submerged sandbar offers shallow turquoise water (waist-deep) over a large area, creating perfect flat water kitesurfing conditions.

Northeast to east trade winds blow consistently from November to May, with speeds of 15-25 knots. The spot is only accessible by boat, ensuring an obstacle-free and uncrowded space.

Water is warm year-round and crystal clear. This spot is ideal for beginners thanks to the shallow water and sandy bottom, and for freestylers thanks to the perfect flat water.
