Villeneuve is a kitesurf spot at the eastern end of Lake Geneva, at the foot of the Vaud Alps. The spot mainly benefits from the Vaudaire, a thermal south-east to east wind blowing from the RhĂ´ne valley onto the lake. This wind is particularly frequent in spring and summer. The area is flat and shallow, making it relatively accessible. Kitesurfing is permitted from April 1st to September 30th.
