Encuentro is a renowned surf and kitesurfing spot, located west of Cabarete on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. The spot is famous for its consistent waves fed by Atlantic swells. It is a wave spot suited to advanced riders, with excellent surf conditions. The easterly trade winds create ideal side-shore conditions for wave riding.
