Vung Tau is a coastal city in Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, about 100 km southeast of Ho Chi Minh City. The city sits on a peninsula with beaches facing different directions, offering some wind exposure during the northeast monsoon from November to April.

The spot suits intermediate riders. Being close to HCMC, the beaches can be crowded on weekends. Sandy bottom with moderate waves. The NE monsoon provides the main wind season. Back Beach (Bai Sau) on the east side gets the best exposure. Watch for strong currents and busy boat traffic.
