Easy spot on a wide beach, with numerous kite schools, affordable restaurants and hotels.

Spot functioning

Large sandy beach with numerous kite schools offering lessons and rentals at very affordable prices. Wind builds progressively through the day — best conditions in the afternoon. Cheap restaurants and hotels along the beach. International and relaxed atmosphere. Season: October to April (northeast monsoon).

On the water

Warm water year-round (26-30°C) — boardshorts or lycra sufficient. Sandy bottom with no obstacles. Small waves and shorebreak possible in strong wind. Water fairly turbid after windy periods. Numerous fishing boats — stay vigilant. Fishing nets reported occasionally.

Parking

Parking along the beach road and at hotels/resorts. Numerous accommodations with direct beach access. Parking generally free or very cheap.

Hazards

There are no rocks or reefs. Beach similar to Brazil.
But beginners should be careful, on days with strong wind, there can be a shorebreak to navigate.
Many fishing boats in the area, some mention fishing nets from time to time.

Wind specificities

The wind is often light in the morning and strengthens throughout the day. Go there from October to April. Side or side-on wind.
