Samila Beach is located in Songkhla, a city on the narrow peninsula separating the Gulf of Thailand from the Songkhla Lake in southern Thailand. The beach faces east toward the Gulf of Thailand and receives the northeast monsoon winds from November to March.
The spot suits intermediate riders. The long sandy beach provides plenty of space for launching. Winds are side-shore from the northeast during the season. The shallow waters and sandy bottom make it a forgiving spot. Songkhla is not a major tourist destination, so the beach is usually uncrowded.
