Kata Beach is a popular tourist beach on Phuket's west coast. During the SW monsoon (May-Oct), it receives waves and wind suitable for experienced kitesurfers. The beach is relatively small and busy with tourists, making it challenging for kiting. Only recommended for advanced riders during monsoon season.
