Overview

Karon Beach is a long sandy beach on Phuket's west coast. During the SW monsoon (May-Oct), waves and wind make it rideable for experienced kiters, but the beach is primarily a tourist beach. Kiting is only possible during the monsoon season and conditions can be strong and gusty with significant shore break.
