Chaweng Beach is Koh Samui's most famous and busiest beach on the east coast. During the NE monsoon (Nov-Mar), it receives direct onshore winds and waves. However, the beach is very crowded with tourists, making kitesurfing challenging. Better suited for experienced riders who can navigate crowded conditions.
Choppy with small to medium waves during NE monsoon. Sandy beach with some reef areas offshore.
