Ao Phai Beach is on the northeast coast of Koh Samet in Rayong Province, just south of Sai Kaew Beach. The beach faces east-northeast and is well exposed to the northeast monsoon from November to March.

Suited for intermediate riders. The beach is a popular tourist area with restaurants and bars nearby. Sandy bottom with clear water. The beach is smaller than Sai Kaew but less crowded. Watch for swimmers and boats. The NE monsoon provides side-onshore to onshore winds during the season.
