Thong Sala is the main pier town on Koh Phangan's south coast. The beach area near Thong Sala offers shallow flat water protected by a reef, similar to nearby Ban Tai. The lagoon creates a safe, flat-water environment ideal for beginners and foiling. Several kite schools operate from this area.
