Talaimannar is located at the northwestern tip of Mannar Island in Northern Province, Sri Lanka. This remote spot sits at the start of Adam's Bridge, the chain of sandbanks connecting Sri Lanka to India. The area receives SW monsoon winds from May to October.

An intermediate to advanced spot due to its remote location and strong currents. The shallow waters between the sandbanks can create interesting flat water zones. Sandy bottom. Strong tidal currents around Adam's Bridge require experience. Very limited tourist infrastructure. A unique, adventurous kite destination at the edge of Sri Lanka.
