Sethawadiya West is the ocean side of Sethawadiya on the northern Kalpitiya peninsula in North Western Province. The beach faces west toward the Indian Ocean and receives direct SW monsoon winds from May to October.

An intermediate to advanced ocean spot. The west-facing beach gets full SW monsoon exposure with waves. Sandy bottom. Stronger conditions than the lagoon side of Sethawadiya. Suitable for riders comfortable in ocean conditions. Currents can develop along the coast. Tide affects conditions significantly.
