Etalai is a coastal spot on the Kalpitiya peninsula in North Western Province, Sri Lanka. The beach faces west toward the Indian Ocean and receives the SW monsoon winds from May to October.

An intermediate ocean spot. Sandy beach with warm water. Side-shore to onshore SW winds during the monsoon season. Some wave action on the open coast. Less developed than the central Kalpitiya spots. A quieter option for riders who want to escape the busier lagoon areas. Tide affects water depth and beach width.
