Overview

Donkey Point is located on the Kalpitiya peninsula in North Western Province, on the ocean side facing west. The spot receives the SW monsoon winds from May to October and is known for wave riding.

An intermediate to advanced ocean spot. The point break creates wave riding opportunities when the SW swell combines with monsoon winds. Sandy bottom with some rocky sections near the point. Stronger currents around the point. Good for riders who want to progress in waves. Tide-dependent conditions.
