Crocodile Rock is a surf and kite spot south of Arugam Bay on Sri Lanka's east coast in Eastern Province. Named after a distinctive rock formation, the beach faces east and receives NE monsoon winds from November to April.
An intermediate to advanced spot. The beach is quieter than Arugam Bay with fewer surfers. Sandy bottom with some rocks (including the namesake rock formation). Waves are usually present. The NE monsoon provides the best wind. A good spot for kite wave riding away from the main Arugam Bay crowds. Limited facilities.
Open all year round
Intermediate
