Songjiho Beach is located in the far northeast of South Korea in Gangwon-do, near the town of Goseong. This east-facing beach on the East Sea coast is one of the northernmost kitesurfing spots in South Korea. It catches NE and E winds effectively during the autumn and winter season.
The beach is known for its clear water and pine-lined shore. The relatively remote location keeps it uncrowded. Tidal range is small on the east coast. Very cold water from late autumn through spring requires serious cold-water protection. Best for intermediate to advanced riders.
