Songjeong Beach is a crescent-shaped beach located northeast of Busan, facing east toward the Sea of Japan (East Sea). It is a popular surf and kitesurf beach that catches northeast and east winds effectively. The beach is smaller and more sheltered than nearby Haeundae, making it a more relaxed option for wind sports.
The sandy bottom and moderate wave conditions make it accessible to intermediate riders. The best wind season is autumn through spring when NE winds are most consistent. Local regulations may restrict kitesurfing during peak swimming season in summer.
