Rak Beach is situated on the northeast coast of South Korea in Gangwon-do, one of the more northern kitesurfing locations in the country. The beach faces east toward the East Sea and receives consistent NE to E winds during autumn and winter. Its relatively remote location means fewer crowds.
The beach is sandy with a moderate gradient. East coast swells can produce rideable waves. The northern location means colder water temperatures, requiring a thick wetsuit or drysuit for most of the windy season. Suitable for intermediate to advanced riders.
