Overview

Jumunjin is a coastal town and beach in Gangwon-do, on South Korea's east coast. The beach faces east toward the East Sea and is known for its fishing port and scenic breakwater. Kitesurfers ride here when NE to E winds kick in, typically during autumn and winter months.

The beach area near the port offers some shelter, while the open sections provide good exposure to the dominant wind directions. Sandy bottom and moderate waves make it suitable for intermediate riders. Cold water gear is essential from November to April.
