Sinyang Beach is located on the east coast of Jeju Island, near Seongsan (the famous Sunrise Peak). The beach faces east-northeast and is well positioned to catch NE and E winds. The shallow sandy lagoon area provides relatively flat water conditions compared to more exposed Jeju spots.

The beach is popular with both kitesurfers and windsurfers. The shallow water and sandy bottom make it one of the more beginner-friendly spots on Jeju. Moderate tidal range affects water depth. The scenic backdrop of Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak) makes this one of the most photogenic kite spots in Korea.
