Jungmun is a famous resort beach on the south coast of Jeju Island, South Korea. Known for its dramatic columnar basalt cliffs and powerful waves, it faces south toward the open East China Sea. The beach catches a variety of wind directions due to Jeju's island geography.
This is primarily a surf beach with powerful shore break, making it best suited for advanced to expert kitesurfers. The south-facing orientation picks up winds channeled around the island. Moderate tidal range. The area has excellent tourist infrastructure with luxury resorts nearby.
