Changi Beach is located at the eastern tip of Singapore, facing the Johor Strait. This spot offers a relatively sheltered body of water with views of the Malaysian coast and surrounding islands. The dominant winds are from the northeast during the northeast monsoon (November to March) and from the southwest during the southwest monsoon (June to September). The body of water is shallow at low tide with a sandy and muddy bottom. Sailing is limited by the intense maritime traffic in the strait.
