Overview

Ibajay is a coastal municipality in Aklan province, Western Visayas, Philippines. Located on the northeast coast of Panay Island, the area faces the Sibuyan Sea and is exposed to both Amihan (NE monsoon, Nov-May) and Habagat (SW monsoon, Jun-Oct) winds.

The NE monsoon brings the most consistent kite conditions with winds of 12-20 knots. The coastal area has a mix of mangrove-lined shores and sandy beaches. Less developed for kitesurfing than nearby Boracay. Suitable for intermediate riders looking for a quieter alternative to the Boracay scene.
