Tulubhan Beach is located on the southeastern tip of Boracay Island, offering a more secluded kitesurfing experience compared to the famous Bulabog Beach. This hidden gem sits along the coast of the Western Visayas, providing riders with a quieter atmosphere and uncrowded waters. The beach benefits from the same powerful Amihan winds that make Boracay a world-class kite destination, but with far fewer riders competing for space.
The Amihan season from November to May brings consistent northeast winds that create ideal kitesurfing conditions. The wind funnels along the island's coastline, delivering reliable 15-25 knot sessions throughout the peak months of December through March. The water here is warm year-round (27-30°C), eliminating the need for wetsuits and making long sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Tulubhan offers a mix of flat water in the shallows and small chop further out, making it suitable for both freeriding and freestyle. The sandy bottom provides a forgiving surface for learners, while more experienced riders can venture into deeper water for wave riding when swell wraps around the island. The beach is accessible by tricycle or on foot from the main Boracay tourist areas.
As with all Boracay spots, riders should be aware of tidal changes that can significantly alter the riding area. At low tide, shallow reef sections may be exposed, so local knowledge is valuable. The spot is best enjoyed during mid to high tide when the water depth is sufficient for safe riding across the full area.
