Batbatan Island is a remote island in the Western Visayas, Philippines, located in the Sulu Sea between Panay and Mindoro. The island is exposed to both Amihan (NE monsoon, Nov-May) and Habagat (SW monsoon, Jun-Oct) winds due to its open position in the sea.
The remote island location means strong, consistent winds from both monsoon directions. Sandy beaches provide launch areas. Very limited facilities and challenging access by boat. This is an expedition-style spot best suited for expert riders who are fully self-sufficient. The reward is pristine, uncrowded conditions in a stunning tropical setting.
