Ngwe Saung is a beautiful white sand beach located on the west coast of Myanmar, in the Ayeyarwady region. This long coconut palm-lined beach stretches approximately 15 km facing the Andaman Sea. The spot benefits from two wind seasons: the northeast monsoon from November to March with consistent side-shore winds, and the southwest monsoon from May to September with stronger winds but rougher sea conditions. The best period for kitesurfing is between November and March. The body of water is open to the ocean with moderate waves. The bottom is sandy and the beach spacious. Be aware of coastal currents during the southwest monsoon.
