Overview

Mikuni Sunset is a kitesurfing spot in Fukui Prefecture, on the Sea of Japan coast. This spot benefits from strong northwest winds typical of the Sea of Japan coast, particularly in winter when Siberian low-pressure systems generate powerful and consistent winds.

The water is exposed to the Sea of Japan with chop to wave conditions depending on wind strength. Tides are present. Suited for intermediate to advanced riders due to sometimes strong winds.
