Momochi Beach is the main kitesurfing spot in Fukuoka, located in Seaside Momochi Park on the north coast of Kyushu. Accessible by subway from central Fukuoka (Nishijin station, then 15 minutes walk), this urban spot offers a unique setting with views of Fukuoka Tower and PayPay Dome.

The spot works primarily with northwest to north-northeast winds, typical of the winter season on the Sea of Japan coast. The water is usually clear and nearly flat with small tides. However, wind can be fickle as it must pass over the city before reaching the beach, which can reduce its strength compared to forecasts.

The beach offers fine, soft sand with plenty of space for launching. Kitesurfing and windsurfing are only permitted in the designated area. The spot is suited for intermediate riders and works best during sustained wind days. The surrounding urban infrastructure provides all necessary services.
