Kujukuri is one of the most important kitesurfing spots in Chiba Prefecture, on the east coast of the Boso Peninsula. At 66 kilometers long, Kujukuri is Japan's second longest beach and a true paradise for water sports. The beach is a mecca for surfing, bodyboarding, and kitesurfing, with varied wave conditions along its length.
The spot works particularly well with south to northeast winds. The best kite area is in the middle of the beach. The atmosphere is laid-back with small family restaurants serving fresh seafood and beachside shacks offering barbecue lunches. A kite shop is available on the beachfront.
The water is oceanic, exposed to the Pacific, with regular waves. Tides are significant and influence conditions. The spot offers enough space so riders don't crowd each other, unlike smaller spots in the area.
