Kuta Lombok is one of the best kitesurfing spots in Indonesia, located on the south coast of Lombok. Unlike its Balinese namesake, Kuta Lombok has retained its authenticity. The bay offers a turquoise body of water with flat to small chop conditions. The southeast trade winds blow very consistently from May to October with speeds of 15 to 25 knots. The spot is ideal for intermediate and advanced riders. The surrounding beaches (Selong Belanak, Tanjung Aan) offer stunning alternatives. The area is developing rapidly with new tourist infrastructure.
