Kuta Beach is Bali's most famous beach, known primarily for surfing. Kitesurfing is possible but the beach is very busy with tourists and surfers. The southeast trade winds blow from May to October but the wind arrives side-offshore on this west coast. The body of water is oceanic with waves, reserved for very experienced riders. Kitesurfing may be restricted due to heavy crowds.
