Kite Beach is the main kitesurfing spot in Bali, located on the southeast coast near Sanur. It is the most popular and busiest spot on the island, with a very active local rider community and several kitesurfing schools. The southeast trade winds blow very consistently from May to October, with average speeds of 15 to 25 knots. The body of water is protected by a vast coral reef that creates a shallow lagoon with perfect flat conditions. At high tide, the lagoon offers enough depth for comfortable sailing. At low tide, some areas may be too shallow. The spot is ideal for all levels thanks to the reef protection.
