Gilimanuk Kite Point is a kitesurfing spot located at the extreme west of Bali, in the Bali Strait. This sheltered spot offers a flat body of water thanks to the protection of Java island opposite. The southeast trade winds from May to October blow consistently here. The strait creates a Venturi effect that strengthens the wind. The shallow and flat body of water makes it an excellent spot for beginners and intermediates. Currents in the strait can be strong at certain tide times.
