Black Sand Beach is an iconic kitesurfing spot on the southeast coast of Bali, near Sanur. This black volcanic sand beach offers a spectacular setting with Mount Agung as a backdrop. The southeast trade winds blow consistently from May to October, with speeds of 15 to 25 knots. The body of water is protected by the offshore coral reef, creating flat to small chop conditions ideal for progression. At low tide, the reef can be exposed, limiting the sailing area. It is one of the most accessible spots in Bali.
