Overview

Pirapanvalasai is a spot on the southeast coast of Tamil Nadu, India, near the southern tip of the Indian peninsula. The area faces east toward the Bay of Bengal and receives NE monsoon winds from October to March, which is the primary kitesurf season here.

The southern Tamil Nadu coast can produce excellent wind conditions during the NE monsoon, with consistent winds of 15-25 knots on strong days. The beach is relatively undeveloped for kitesurfing. Sandy bottom. Limited facilities - bring your own equipment and supplies. Suitable for intermediate to advanced riders.
